foobar2000 for MAC
Free advanced audio player for Mac: all mainstream formats, gapless playback, tagging, CD ripping, conversion, ReplayGain and add-on components.
foobar2000 Overview
foobar2000 is an advanced freeware audio player. It plays all mainstream audio formats out of the box, and additional decoder components add even more. It offers gapless playback, advanced tagging, full ReplayGain support, ripping of audio CDs and transcoding between all supported formats. On a Mac you can customize the layout of the interface and the keyboard shortcuts, and use built-in DSP effects plus Audio Units.
It can also stream music on your local network and control network audio players or foobar2000 running on another device, and it has internet radio with Radio Browser integration. An open component architecture lets third-party developers extend it. foobar2000 is made by Peter Pawlowski; it is free but not open source, released under its own license, and its site promises no strings attached, no telemetry and no data collection. It runs on Intel and Apple Silicon Macs and needs macOS 11 Big Sur or newer; older versions for older macOS releases are in the site's archive.
